A wonderful example of industrial design by the architectural group Studio BBPR for Olivetti, Italy, circa 1963. This was part of the Arco Series which was a line of Olivetti office furniture. The base is metal and the top is made of a wood look laminate. There is the original label affixed to the bottom of the table.

As with most things Olivetti, every detail is thought out and designed with care since they hired some of the great designers and architects of the day. If fact the entire former factory compound in Ivrea, Italy has recently been designated a world Unesco Heritage Site.
